J.M. Hofer lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she works in the travel industry to slake her wanderlust. An eternal student, she speaks several languages and spends ample time researching Celtic history, mythology, folklore and legend.

Her first novel, Islands in the Mist, was chosen as one of five semi-finalists out of 2,000 entries in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror genre of the 2013 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest. It has since evolved into a popular series.
